Project area located in town of Fenton, Broome County, New York. Project area approximately two miles southwest of PIN 9081.79, see PAF Report no. 171. Paragraph 3 [Phase I Reconnaissance] archaeological examination. Survey limited due to land modification. Survey methods: surface inspection, shovel test pits, excavated squares. One prehistoric sites identified. Artifacts: chert flakes, shell, historic ceramic, redware drainage tile. No historic sites identified. Recommendations: project will not adversely affect any significant cultural resources. This report includes four maps, two pages of shovel test pit data, artifact catalog, four photographs.
